Clothing Day

On the Feast of St Therese of the Child Jesus (1 October), our postulant Sr Bridget, received her Carmelite habit and her religious name as Sr Bridget Teresa of Jesus, in a simple ceremony with the community. Please pray for her as she continues her discernment and formations officially as a novice in our community, and pray also for more young women to answer God’s call to the religious life especially to our Carmel here in WA.

With the statue of St Therese on her feast day too!

Novitiate is a time of discernment and it will take two years before a novice could be accepted to the first profession of religious vows, as a temporary professed nun. She will continue to wear the white veil until her solemn profession day.
