The Perpetual Lamp Association

The establishment of the Perpetual Lamp Association in 1935, the year our monastery was founded, helped to build our Monastery. Contributions of members continue to provide means to assist in the upkeep and repair of the Monastery.

Enrolment in the Perpetual Lamp affiliates benefactors of the Carmelite Nuns with their life of prayer and sacrifice.

The names of benefactors are also entered into the Book of Remembrance of the Perpetual Lamp.

It is for whoever wishes to be enrolled as a benefactor. They also may enrol relatives, friends, living or deceased, by making an offering on their behalf.

Privileges of membership:

*Members share in the prayers and sacrifices of the Nuns.

*Special Masses and prayers are offered for members.

*A Lamp burns continually beside the image of Our Lady of Mount Carmel as a visible sign of this union of prayer.
